How does pricing work?
Spicy charges $120 hourly for all session work, so no one feels like they got the short end of the stick. Since he's incredible fast at recording, he can usually knock out projects in between 30 minutes and 4 hours, just depending on how many layers are needed.
Can I list Spicy Violin as an artist on my song?
Not unless he has given permission in writing. Spicy wants to spread the violin far and wide but he has high quality standards when it comes to putting his name on things.
Recording violin is probably one of the most difficult tasks for an audio engineer but thankfully Spicy has been around the block. He can typically get the first version within a few days and the final stems within 2 weeks depending on the speed of communication.
Producing FAQ
Spicy specializes in Pop, Electro-Pop, Cinematic, EDM, Future Bass, and other electronic styles and prefers not to work on anything else. Spicy will not produce country music but he will record some of the best fiddle riffs possible for your country song.
Having always been fascinated with recorded music, Spicy decided to invest heavily into producing when he decided it was a viable career path when he turned 18. Since then, he's explored and experimented to the point where he can confidently make strong, catchy tracks that people will have on repeat.
Given that it can take upwards of 40 hours to make a track that actually sounds good and is interesting, Spicy's production price starts at $1000 and goes up depending on the length of song, time signature, and instrumentation.
There are plenty of great engineers out there but typically they're all going to charge really high rates. If someone says they're the best and they only charge $300 for a mix, they're probably full of it! Spicy doesn't claim to be the best, but he did graduate from a prestigious mixing/mastering course called The Reverse Engineer, and has transformed his own music by putting these concepts into practice.
It does not unfortunately. Editing is a critical process that most musicians overlook but is painstakingly tedious and time consuming. Therefore, if your track has glaring pitch and accuracy issues, I will get in touch about my editing rates. However, save yourself the hassle (and the high prices) and just pay someone else to edit it (or do it yourself!)
Mixing and Mastering cannot fix a bad record or production. Ideally, the source material should already sound pretty good before the mixing process, and then from there, its just a bunch of tweaks and fine tuning things so everything's perfect. If you give Spicy a bunch of un-affected saw waves, he won't be able to turn you into Lindsey Stirling.
